There’s nothing better than a classic dipped strawberry, except for when you sprinkle it with toasted superfoods. If you’ve ever tried and failed at chocolate covered strawberries, this one’s for you. No fancy equipment required, and I’ll include tips on getting them to turn out just right. Enjoy this low-glycemic sweet treat!
Preheat oven to 325. Spread oats out over a baking dish, and toast for 10 minutes.
Rinse strawberries and dry thoroughly with a clean dish towel. If any water is left on the strawberries, the chocolate will have a hard time sticking to them.
Place chocolate wafers in a glass dish and microwave on high for 3 minutes, stopping at each minute interval to stir.
Once chocolate is completely smooth, hold each strawberry by the leaves and roll side to side in the chocolate until mostly coated.
Place on either wax paper or a silicone mat, and sprinkle immediately with toasted oats.
All chocolate to set most of the way at room temperature, then store in the fridge until ready to eat.
