For the cake:
  1. For a keto version of this recipe, replace honey with monkfruit-sweetened sugar-free maple syrup and regular chocolate chips with sugar-free chocolate chips
  2. Any creamy nut butter may be used in this recipe, but I prefer peanut butter and cashew butter.
  3. This recipe can also be used to make muffins. For muffins, pour batter into nine well-greased muffin tins and reduce baking time to 18 minutes.

    1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. (You can alternatively grease the dish with butter or coconut oil).
    2. In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients except chocolate chips and blend until smooth, about 30-45 seconds. Fold in chocolate chips.
    3. Pour brownie batter into prepared baking pan and dot with extra chocolate chips, if desired. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
